Adams & Bromley Majolica Fish 6 Oyster Plate. C. 1870-1879. An unusual earthenware plate with 6 oyster well molded as full bodied fish with white bellies. The fish tails surround a cobalt blue center sauce well. A larger whole fish at the bottom is likely meant for crackers. This plate has a brown textured ground with yellow ochre rim. 10 inches x 9.5 inches.
In excellent vintage condition with no cracks or chips. Some imperfections to the glaze which likely happened during firing.
