Charming Staffordshire flatback figure. Likely from the early to mid-1800s due to the painting on the back of the figure. (C. 1830-40). Well dressed dandy holding his dog in a country setting. Gentleman wearing a yellow cap, long green coat, decorated waistcoat, pink breaches with gold gilding, white stockings and black shoes. Holding a red / russet dog in his hands, semi seated in a bank of green grass and shrubs. Made in England.

Very good antique condition. Some paint missing around the shoes and hair. Some imperfections and crazing due either to age or to the firing process. Please review the pictures carefully as they form an integral part of the description.
