Beautiful example of an English antique porcelain sardine / butter dish with an Imari pattern (adapted from a Japanese design used in English pottery). Old Derby from Ridgways a pottery company in Staffordshire, England, 1880 to 1885 Makers marks on inside of lid and on the base (1704).

Good antique condition commensurate with age. Some of the gilding has worn away. Some imperfections and crazing due to aging and the firing process, especially on base and inside. Please review the pictures carefully as they form an integral part of the description.
