Superbly crafted antique cheese dome & cover by Ridgways of Derby is decorated with the richly gilded and hand painted 'Old Derby' Imari pattern. C. 1880-1885. The cover has an attractive domed finial handle glazed with cobalt blue and gilding. The base has the typical bow and quiver Ridgways of Derby stampe. Pattern Number 544.

This item is in good antique condition commensurate with age. There is some loss to the gilding and paint but overall the paintwork is bright and sharp. There is some discoloration from use of the base. Please review the pictures carefully as they form an integral part of the description.
